Inventory and Warehousing
Using 1C:ERP, you can store goods at warehouses:
- Without using bins — goods accounting at the warehouse
- In storage bins for reference placement — goods accounting at the warehouse, bins with a specified address (section, line, rack) are required
- In storage bins of bin location warehousing —exact location of goods at the warehouse, goods accounting by bins
One can specify unlimited number of warehouses for a company. A separate storage bin option can be specified for each warehouse and wareroom.
Reference Bin Placement
Reference bin placement means that goods are stored in bins, each with a separate address. You can quickly find the required product on shipment or the bin to which goods should be put on receipt.
In addition, bins can be merged into work areas that are bin groups processed manually or with equipment.
1C:ERP features for reference placement:
Acceptance |
Shipment |
Receipt slip creation |
Issue slip creation |
Goods placement job generation |
Goods picking job generation |
Acceptance recording |
Shipment recording |
Bin Location Warehousing
Using goods bin location warehousing in storage bins, you can:
- Automate product placement, picking, and movement between bins
- Control bin completeness according to weight and volume
- Place goods to bins for a specific purpose (separate goods storage)
- Place goods both in packaging and storage measured units (weight, linear, volume, and areal)
Warehouses and warerooms can be divided into storage areas that are bin groups used to store separate goods.
1C:ERP features for bin location warehousing:
Acceptance |
Shipment |
Receipt slip creation |
Issue slip creation |
Goods placement job generation |
Goods picking job generation |
Goods bin placement management |
Goods bin picking management |
Goods acceptance recording |
Goods shipment recording |
The application automatically includes the required storage bins into goods placement job or goods shipment job. Using 1C:ERP, you can set up automatic job generation according to the specified schedule.
Product Movement
Using the application, you can move goods between warehouses of one company as well as internally transfer goods between warehouses of different companies. You can also:
- Register consignment note on goods shipment from a warehouse
- Register shipment
- Control generation of consignment notes, issue and receipt slips
Internal Consumption of Goods
While registering internal consumption, you can use the following features:
- Write-offs to expenses – goods/materials are written off for specific purposes according to the specified expense item
- Transfers to operation – goods/materials are transferred to department for a fixed period (specifying a responsible individual to whom products and services item was issued; expense item with expense dimension; operation category)
Inventory Checking
The solution offers functionality for controlling goods and materials and reconciling actual number of goods with the recorded number. Using 1C:ERP, you can:
· Record goods recount results
· Register actual warehouse remaining goods change
· Register goods shortage write-off, goods misgrading, goods surplus capitalization, goods spoilage
· Allocate surplus, shortage, and spoilage of company goods
Inventory checking at the warehouse can be performed both with goods recalculation and withouit it (during warehouse operation).
Storekeeper Mobile Work Place
Placement and picking of goods from bin location warehousing can be simplified and fully automated by using storekeeper mobile work place that will:
- Generate new jobs for picking and placing goods, perform jobs for picking and placing goods from storage bins
- Place and move goods from one bin to another
- Recount goods during inventory
While performing a job, the application specifies the required action, which ensures step-by-step execution of all operations.
Inventory by Serial Number
Using the solution, you can manage inventory by series and expiration dates that can be specified on receipt, shipment, and in internal turnover documents. The following policy types may be applied:
- Reference series specification — created for the goods according to which it is not required to track remaining quantity by series; series information shall be registered in the goods turnover documents
- FEFO auto calculation of remaining series — created for the goods according to which it is required to track remaining quantity by series; series shall be registered only on goods acceptance and when it is difficult to specify goods on shipment
- Remaining series management — created for goods according to which remaining quantity shall be individually accounted by series
- FEFO management of remaining series — same as previous. The difference is that in the shipment documents the application will first offer to write off expiring goods (first expire first out)
- Accounting of self-cost by series — created for goods for which it is required to keep quantitative and end-to-end accounting of cost by series
A separate goods series accounting policy can be set up for each products and services kind. For products, accounting can be kept according to expiration dates.
If goods with different expiration dates are shipped, the goods are written off automatically according to the accepted FEFO series accounting policy. The application will first offer you to write off expiring goods.
To analyze expiring goods, use the Remaining goods according to expiration dates report.
You can receive information on when the series (serial number, series, expiration date) for a specific product was registered and when the product with this series (product with a serial number, specified expiration date) was shipped using the Products and services series movement report.
Simplified Inventory Level Control
Simplified inventory level control is performed according to the Minimum and maximum remaining goods parameters. These parameters can be specified manually or calculated automatically based on the average goods consumption.
Warehouse inventory control can be simplified by generating purchase orders. Minimum and maximum remaining goods as well as remaining goods at warehouses are accounted at the moment of calculating a number of goods to be ordered.
Advanced Inventory Level Control
Advanced inventory level control is performed according to the demand satisfaction methods as well as terms and schedules of supply.
To control inventory using the advanced method, you can satisfy demands by:
- Purchasing goods from suppliers
- Moving goods from one warehouse to another
- Assembling
- Producing by processor
To keep minimum remaining quantity at the warehouse, you can use the following inventory control parameters:
Inventory control (min-max) — controls inventory level according to the required minimum or maximum inventory. Information on minimum or maximum inventory is specified manually. Minimum inventory is specified as of the purchase date and maximum inventory is specified as of the covered period.
Inventory level control (calculation by standard) — controls inventory level at the warehouse according to the daily goods consumption standard. Daily goods consumption information is considered while calculating minimum and maximum inventory
Inventory level control (calculation by statistics) — controls inventory level at the warehouse according to the sales statistics. Sales statistics information is considered while calculating average daily goods consumption, minimum and maximum inventory.
