Participants of International IT business mission in South Africa held more than 100 negotiations in two days

On November 9-10, an international business mission of companies in the field of information and communication technologies took place in Cape Town. More than 10 Russian companies and more than 50 unique business partners from various provinces of South Africa took part in the mission.

Over 2 days of work, there were more than 100 targeted meetings of Russian developers of innovative products with potential distributors and customers in the markets of South Africa and other African countries. As a result of these meetings, a series of Russian IT products will be available for customers in South Africa shortly.

The development of unique digital solutions in the financial and banking sectors, transport and logistics, medicine and healthcare turned out to be the most requested services in the South African market. The key interest from Russian exporters was how to access government customers as well as participate in public sector procurement.

In addition to business meetings, the event included a series of round tables and consultations. Thus, within the round tables Doing business in the Republic of South Africa: conditions for entering the market for Russian companies and Global IT products in the South African market: secrets of competitiveness, the Russian participants of the business mission talked about the rules of doing business, requirements for international companies and the existing infrastructure for IT developers.

The business mission also hosted a series of individual consultations between Russian Trade Representative in South Africa Maxim Bureev and exporters.

Despite the high level of competition in the IT market, South Africa offers new opportunities for the implementation of innovative developments in the field of logistics, medicine, and banking. Traditional trust in Russian partners allows us to expect that our developers will be able to effectively participate in global competition in technological projects in South Africa, the trade representative commented on the results of the business mission.

Prior to the business mission, Russian companies also took part in the Africa Tech Festival, the largest regional exhibition and conference of technology companies. Successfully held events demonstrate mutual interest in further business development and participation in exhibitions and business missions not only in South Africa, but also in other African countries.
