In today’s fast-paced logistics and port management industry, efficiency and accuracy are crucial to keep business alive. Sogester, Angola’s leading container terminal operator, understands it well and already saves lots of time due to seamless connection of its core systems with external platforms. This article explores how the Rise SA team enhanced 1C:Drive by integrating it with seven third-party systems, eliminating manual processes, reducing costs, and allowing employees to focus on something more important than manual data exchanges.
When our team first partnered with Sogester to implement 1C:Drive, their goal was not just to deploy a powerful billing and accounting system, but to ensure it does not work in isolation. Sogester’s operations demanded seamless connectivity, whether when submitting data to the government authorities, syncing with their terminal operating system, or enabling smooth payments for customers. Integrations were not something secondary; they were a core requirement, explicitly outlined before implementation even began.
Project implementationTo address these challenges, Rise SA designed and implemented a series of integrations, transforming 1C:Drive into a central hub for Sogester’s operations. Here’s how each integration added value:
1. Integration with AGT (Angolan Tax Authorities)- What it does: 1C:Drive was certified by AGT to directly submit SAF-T (AO) files, including invoices, credit notes, and payment documents, to the government. For more about the certification and development process, see here.
- Impact: Eliminated the need for a separate, subscription-based tax reporting system, reducing costs and manual data exchange between the accounting system and the tax reporting system. All tax reporting is now centralized and automated within 1C:Drive.
